Your journey will start with a welcome and smoking ceremony from the Gimuy Walubara Yidinji peoples the original owners at the Cairns Indigenous Tourism Hub. Tour of the Kgari3 sisters art gallery and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee wattle seed damper and bush food jams at the Nutmeg & Wattle cafe .
Next you will take a short journey by bus hearing the stories about the Yidinji culture and history to the next stop.
A short stop along the way at a beautiful scenic lookout of the City of Cairns showing the cultural landscape the beautiful city of Cairns to take some photos and hear creation stories.
Then continue the journey into a tropical rainforest mountain to an amazing rainforest lake. You will disembark at the Kiosk to stretch your legs and enjoy the view with a cup of tea and fresh damper with bush jam flavours.
While enjoying the tranquility of the rainforest learn about the culture and artefact talk and the history of the Lake.
For those who want to venture into the rainforest after relaxing can go and find beautiful rainforest waterfalls and hear or see some of the amazing rainforest birds and animals you may spot a cassowary on the journey, once at the end of the walk .
Enjoy a swim in the heart of the rainforest at a number of beautiful waterfall rock pools have some free time while your lunch is being prepared after lunch and a swim a slow drive back to Cairns Indigenous Tourism Hub and wander through the Kgari 3 sisters art gallery and the Nutmeg & Wattle cafe and enjoy some afternoon tea and coffee or a cold drink.
